In suitable patients, the goal is to support exertion capacity and everyday comfort.
EECP is a scientifically proven treatment method that increases blood flow to the heart muscle in individuals with coronary artery disease, without surgery, incisions, or anesthesia. Special cuffs placed on the legs inflate and deflate in sync with your heart rhythm; this rhythmic pressure increases blood flow to the heart and, over time, triggers the formation of new blood vessels (supporting the heart's own blood flow).
EECP offers a safe alternative for patients with high surgical risk, those with ongoing symptoms after bypass surgery, or those who are not suitable candidates for surgical treatment.
